Website of the week!

Celeste in British ColumbiaWe’re excited that Gone Floatabout was just featured as “Website of the Week” in Blue Water Sailing‘s newsletter! You can read the whole newsletter here.  The Cruising Compass newsletter goes out every week, and it’s free whether or not you subscribe to BWS 🙂  Blue Water Sailing is the magazine I wrote about in my last post.

For subscribers to Off Center Harbor.com, I have a new Guide Post up: “Why Attempt the Northwest Passage?  One Woman’s Inspiration and Goals.”  It’s very similar to the blog I wrote for ZEAL Optics, but there’s a new photo and more about our boat Celeste as well as links to earlier Guide Posts about our previous boat Heretic and environmentally-conscious sailing!

Happy reading!

  1. Bravo! Brava! Safe sailing my friends! We will be watching in awe and cheering you and CELESTE onward from Maine and Sydney! I know your vast experience and love for the sea and adventure will guide you right! As you may remember, we used a Katadyn aboard BAHATI and carried the emegency hand-op version in our ditch bag….great machines and never gave us a problem….good choice!! Sending much love and support yr way…Carry-On!! & Have a Good Watch!!

    • Hi Nat,
I’d forgotten you had a Katadyn–looks like a great unit, we’re excited to try it out, though hope we never have to use the hand-operated one! Have fun in Sydney this winter (our summer, though we’ll probably be colder than you…)
Lots of love to you and Betsy!
